Youth Initiatives
The Housing Authority of DeKalb County (HADC) dedicates staff and resources to promote youth achievement and provide programs and activities that keep youth engaged, informed and motivated to achieve positive things.
The HADC recognizes those students that exemplify excellence in school, community service, athletics, art and public speaking. The youth are recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in and out of school activities.
Youth Achievement Awards are presented on an annual basis to youth within the community who actively participate in HADC programs and events. The HADC hosts an awards program that highlights the success and accomplishment of youth between the ages of five through 21 years. Parents, family, friends, community stakeholders and school representatives are cordially invited to celebrate these youth's achievements.

The Certified Organization for Resident Engagement & Services (CORES) Certification recognizes owners and organizations that have developed a robust commitment, capacity, and competency in providing resident services coordination in affordable housing communities.
